I took both the ACT and SAT and IJan 19 2010Business - Management and Administration
I took both the ACT and SAT and I strongly recommend that any potential student does so. I kept up a high GPA, put a lot of thought and effort into my admission essay and had it reviewed by several people. I recommend that any potential student do the same.

I kept my grades up and was in the top 10 of my class. I stayed active in clubs in high school and was well rounded. My SAT scores were average but I would suggest keeping them above an 1800 to get a better scholarship. They base a lot of scholarships off your score unfortunately.

To get in, I kept up my grades in high school, and showed the university how involved i liked to be in activities on and off campus. They really like to see students who are involved.

I recommend students include as much as possible under their list of activities, and show that they are very versatile, and keep up their grades!

I was always on the high honor roll in High School and I also was very active in High School, I tried to show a lot of encouragement to learn and retook the SAT's to obtain higher grades.

To get into Marist, you definitely have to haveJan 17 2010English
To get into Marist, you definitely have to have good grades and be involved in extracurriculars because every year, it's getting more and more competitive to get in. I was super involved in high school and had good grades and I got a really nice scholarship from Marist because of it. I'd suggest other students do the same. Make sure you have a pretty challenging course load (but don't kill yourself over it). I think APs are great..they make your resume look good to the admissions department and are also a great way to get ahead in credits before going to college. It definitely saves you a lot of money!
